Simba (Lion)- Featured in all three films. Main central character in The Lion King. Loses father due to evil uncle Scar. Best friends with Timone and Pumbaa. Nala is his mate. Father of Kiara. Nala- Featured in all three films. She is Simba's childhood friend and mate. Mother of Kiara. Scar- Brother of Mufasa and uncle to Simba. He was according to a later book called Taka. Zira is believed to be his mate. Also Nuka and Vitani are believed to be his children. Mufasa- Father of Simba. Mate to Sarabi. Was trampled to death in the first film. Appears in the first two films. (the second in the clouds as seen in "He Lives In You) Sarabi (Mirage)- Mate to Mufasa and mother of Simba. Featured in the first film only. Kiara- Daughter of Simba and Nala. Featured in the second film only. She is Kovu's mate. Kovu (Scar)- Predecssor to Scar. Brother of Nuka and Vitani. Son of Zira. Is Kiara's mate. Featured in the second film only. Vitani (War)- Sister to Nuka and Kovu. Only daughter of Zira. Rumored to be Scar's daughter as well. She is only featured in the second film. Nuka (Stink)- Brother to Vitani and Kovu. Son of Zira and possibly Scar. Dies in the second film which is also the only one he appears. Zira (Hate)- Supposedly Scar's mate. Is mother to Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu. Appears only in the second film in which she commits suicide. Timone- Appears in all of the three films. He is a meerkat and is best friends with Simba and Pumbaa. Pumbaa- Appears in all three films. He is a warthog who is best friends with Simba and Timone. Ma- Timone's mom. Featured only in the third film. Uncle Max- Timone's uncle. Featured only in the third film. Shenzi- One of Scar's henchmen. She is a hyena and hangs with Banzai and Ed. Banzai- Another of Scar's henchmen. He is also a hyena and hangs with Shenzi and Ed. Ed- The last of Scar's henchmen. He is also a hyena and unable to speak. Hangs with Shenzi and Banzai. Sarafina- Nala's mother. Only has one line. Featured briefly in the first film. Rafiki (Friend)- Acts as the shaman of the Pridelands. Blesses all of the cubs in the beginning of the films. Featured all of the films. Zazu- Acts as the king's majordomo. He is a hornbill and is seen in all of the films. Kopa- In a later book it is mentioned that Simba has a son named Kopa. Kopa is not seen in the second film. TLK fans have rumored that reason that Zira has been exiled is because she killed Kopa. As why he doesn't appear in the second film. Disney however does not support this rumor. |
